Narrow boat life. Starting with choosing the boat, selling the house, moving onboard and moving the boat.

Summer time - Oooh can't wait
This is more like it - I had a lovely balcony garden where I used to live and I really miss it. I also used to work at a garden centre while at Peterborough, so I really got the bug for having a bit plant life around. So now the weather is doing a bit more of what it should, I thought I would add a bit of colour to my new home. Even though I say so myself, I think it looks the business.
Enjoying your blog, and I've added you to the blog-roll on my site. Can I just check, though, is Emporer really spelled with the o and the e that way round?
I get confused due to being a fair way over forty, I still haven't established which way round it should be, when I find out,I'll get round to changing it one day!!! Idea!!! perhaps I should check the orignal registration.
At a junction in our lives, we decided to step back but not opt out. Moving from the 'normal' day to day grind, mortgage and other millstones round our necks - to a new life and new venture. After the first few days, reality hits and questions are raised. Day to day life brings new challenges but definately no doubts.
New to Narrowboats - and so far so good!! But could be better!
Having reached the half way mark in life and the children have fled the nest, we found that lifes needs and wants and changed. We dramatically downsized to live on a nb. Hopefully this is a story of how we manage to adapt for a very comfortable middle-class (expensive)lifestyle to that of a pair of homeless river gypies.
